MAA Program

Each year thousands of children in California miss out on basic medical care because their family cannot afford health coverage. To address this issue, the California Department of Health Services established the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities Program. This program allows for Local Educational Agencies to be reimbursed for various activities associated with referring and linking children to health services and the Medi-Cal/Healthy Families program.

The MAA Program allows for a wide range of reimbursable activities such as outreach, facilitating Medi-Cal applications, referrals to health/mental health services, and translation services.

These reimbursable activities are performed by various individuals throughout school sites. Such staff that can participate include nurses, psychologists, health aides, principals, and office staff.

The unrestricted revenue generated through the MAA Program varies by Local Educational Agencies based on size, demographics and participation. Let our experts show you your revenue potential. Contact us today for an in-depth analysis of your agency.
