LEA Billing Option Program

Local Educational Agencies are allowed to be reimbursed for the cost of providing health services to Medi-Cal eligible students through the LEA Billing Option Program. This program was established in 1993 through a partnership between the California Department of Health Services and California Department of Education. Such IEP reimbursable services include assessments, treatments and Targeted Case Management.

Medi-Cal Administrative Activities Program

Each year, thousands of children in California miss out on basic medical care because their family cannot afford health coverage. To address this issue, the California Department of Health Services established the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities Program. This program allows for Local Educational Agencies to be reimbursed for various activities associated with referring and linking children to health services and the Medi-Cal/Healthy Families program.

Compliance Review Program

Both the LEA Billing Option Program and the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities Programs can be overwhelming to School Districts with burdensome regulations and policies that are crucial to the protection of your revenue. At CSM, we know how to maximize your revenue and protect it at the same time. Whether your School District is entangled in a lengthy contract or is attempting to administer these programs internally, we can still help. Our experts will identify areas of compliance and revenue enhancement that may be currently overlooked and give recommendations to increase and retain your dollars.
